SUMMARY:Belly Dancing for Wellness: Confidence
DESCRIPTION:During this unique\, fun\, and mindful workshop we will combine the beautiful art of Oriental Dance (aka Bellydance) with mindfulness to boost our body awareness\, self-acceptance\, and self-confidence. \nAdditionally\, we can profit from other well-known benefits of dancing (which are strengthened with this fusion)\, such as stress reduction\, more positivity\, and an increased sense of wellbeing. \nPlease keep in mind that this is not a normal dance class\, focused on technique (although we will learn some)\, therefore the goal is not to create performers. The aim of these sessions is to use the dance (belly dance) as a vehicle to find new ways to reconnect with ourselves and provide extra love and care to our bodies and soul. \nWe create a new way to meditate\, with our beautiful bodies in movement (while dancing). \nStudents will… \n\n\n\nReduce stress while increasing body awareness\nCultivate positivity and self-confidence\nFoster self-acceptance and a healthy self-esteem\nExperience improved general and psychological well-being\nEnhance coordination and decrease emotional reactivity\n\n\n\n
